Are all the items you have in the store available online for order?
No, but about 95% are, plus an additional several hundred items which are NOT available in the store. Because of limited space in the store, we are unable to stock 100% of a line, such as for example, Goldenfeast which manufactures dozens of sizes and types of treats, fruits and nut mixes. Online we are able to carry them all! Items that can only be found in the store are primarily the items that are handmade or made by very small toymakers that might not be able to produce large enough quantities for online sales. So even if you shop online, there are other exciting items that you can find in the store, and vice versa!
I Iive quite a distance from you and one of the items I need is not carried on your website. Can I still order from the store directly as I have in the past?
Yes. If an item is not carried on the site, there will be a small handling fee of $5 for preparing orders. If the item(s) are carried on the website but you prefer not to order via the web there will be a $12 fee. This fee partially covers the cost of packaging and shipping items from the store which is not set up for this activity. (There is no handling fee whatsoever for items ordered from the webstore.)
I notice that some of the items cost less online than in the store. How is that possible? Why shouldn't I just order everything online?
Our store and online operation are run as separate businesses and there are different costs associated with each. We take into consideration the fact that you have to pay shipping costs when ordering online. Items we sell in the store have to be stocked and priced and are part of the overhead of providing a quality place to shop. You can touch, feel and see items when you come into the store, as well as asking for a demonstration and/or explanation of the product so that is one advantage to shopping in the store. If you come into the store, we think that you will find that the advice and customer service you receive make us an excellent and very competitive value.
How long do online orders take?
Because orders come from our warehouse, not the store, you should allow five BUSINESS days for receipt. That can be as many as ten days depending on weekends/holidays. You should allow plenty of time or if you are running low on food you may want to come into the store. You do have the option of expedited shipping on the website if needed.
